The 16th Michigan Volunteer Infantry is our Federal
or Yankee impression in the hobby of Civil War reenacting/living history. At some events throughout the year we put
on the 'blue suit' and honor the soldiers from the North.
This what the 16th Michigan National Colors would have looked like
during the war. The letters "Sixteenth Michigan Vols. Infantry" would have been hand-painted on one of the Red stripes
of the flag. And any 'Battle Honors' painted on the flag in the White and Red stripes.
