The Southern Guard Brigade has started a new Brigade here in
South Carolina and Gen. Jerry Parsons has promoted Cpt. Perry Sutherland to Lt. Col. over this new Brigade which is named
Kershaw Brigade and the new companies in this is the following units:
2nd SC Regt. Rifles
7th SC Vol. Infantry
46th NC State Troops
CS Marines
Calhoun Atrillery
